Lightweight for the climbs, but still capable of the technical descents, as found on modern trails and bike parks. The low standover/low stack gives riders the space to move on the techy sections and keeps shoulders down on faster sections.
Big wheels, latest progressive geometry (short chainstays, 66 degree fork angle) and correct fitting components create an agile, responsive and seriously fun bike. The grom squad has had a riot testing and developing the HUP xc in the Glentress forest, near Peebles. Fast and flowing, tight and techy, steep and gnarly - it handles pretty much everything!
With 2 frame/wheel sizes covering riders from approx 105cm up to approx 145cm tall, now all the kids (not just Mum & Dad) are in for a treat. When progressing up to a full sized wheel frame, they can carry-over many of the components like groupset, bars, saddle, brakes etc Thanks to the SRAM UDH hangher, parents also benefit from component sharing, life is simple with everyone on the same mech hanger!
A low maintenance design with full length outer cabling (including the option to fit a dropper post) plus the latest standards such as thru-axles, 2.4" tyre clearance and a tapered head tube - ensures future compatibility. SRAM's Universal Deraillieur Hanger (UDH) also brings the ease of a widely available hanger.
Choose from Purple, Grey or Silver and 2 fork travel options - frame only, frame & fork kit, self-build bundle (with/without wheels) or built bike.
